Strategic Funding has been doing “multi-fund” deals since 2007 – so thios model is nothing new. After writing a couple hundred contracts with various combinations of scheduled smaller fundings we stopped the program for a number of reasons. In addition there are a number of other funders in our industry who do serial “add-ons” which are in essence multi-fund deals since there is no renewal buyout of old balances with new funds. Strategic still does multi-funds for a select group of proven performers, but it presents numerous challenges for both the funding company and the merchants.
